Our design team is working with a private developer on the adaptive re-use of the Lafayette Square Mall in Pike Township just two miles north of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We are currently in schematic design, converting a large 159,940 square-foot portion of the mall into a boutique hotel. The 95-room hotel will offer a business center, lounge areas, art gallery, a 13,000 SF recreation space, fitness center, bar, and second floor exterior courtyard.
The adaptive re-use hotel is one part of the larger cornerstone project that was developed in part by studies provided by krM Architecture. The larger project will re-use the existing mall converting it into a mixed-use building with retail, restaurants, office and entertainment, infusing the 1.1M SF building with a variety of cultural aesthetics.
