Our team at krM has worked with Northview Christian Church over several years and numerous projects to identify their brand through architectural design. The most recent addition and renovation of their new Binford Campus brought life and utility to a building that had previously been vacant for nine years prior to Northview’s acquisition.
Site studies were done to maximize signage for visibility with the heavy traffic on Binford Boulevard and the surrounding community. The main entrance, characterized with a custom metal feature, offers the congregation a significant welcoming access point, leading directly to the main core of the church where a coffee bar and large lobby space are adjacent to the sanctuary. Specialized panels were implemented in the acoustical engineering of the sanctuary to create sound isolation from road noise. Those panels were precast off-site during construction to speed up the process.
The expanded spaces for teens and children include a daycare center and a second dedicated entrance point to address safety. Additional accessibility was prioritized in a third entry that gives staff more direct access to central offices as needed. Northview completely transformed their office environment when they moved their central office to this location, with a mix of open and closed offices.
