At Greencastle Middle School, the design team at krM made significant improvements that better utilize the existing space while adding a secure vestibule and improving the overall safety and security of school building access. The project relocated administration offices to be near the entrance and moved some classrooms further into the building. The school’s media center received a complete overhaul with breakout study and collaboration spaces for various group sizes and a flexible teaching area. Science lab rooms were upgraded with new cabinetry, technology access, flooring, and furniture. Finally, general classrooms and restrooms were also renovated as part of this referendum project.
