Special Milestone: Anderson Transit Center

Special milestone today at our Transit Station project with the City of Anderson: The final steel beam was put in place after it was signed by city officials and project participants (a tradition dating back to the 1800’s). It takes a lot of dedicated people to make a project like this come to life, and we are grateful for every one of them! “This is a project that has been long in the making,” Anderson Mayor Thomas Broderick Jr. said today at the ceremony. “It dates back almost 25 years and four different mayors who worked towards this.” The City of Anderson has been advocating for this project over many years and across several mayoral administrations, and over that time, our team has been involved as an advisor to the project since its early stages – helping to study different sites and aspects of feasibility along the way. It’s so rewarding to see it come to life, and to elevate the community through design.
